The competition
Each area gives representatives a distinct way to communicate who they are, what they value, and why their school matters.
Every verified contestant completes all three phases. There is no finalist cut or recompetition.
Friday’s Pep Rally is the opening program: every contestant is introduced on stage, then competes in scored School Spirit Wear within that same celebration of school pride.
Judges look for authentic school pride, appropriate styling, and confident presentation.
Each six-minute interview is completed in current-year official school spirit attire: a school-appropriate look that visibly represents the contestant’s school this year.
The focus is her voice and connection—not theatrical costumes, body paint, novelty outfits, or unrelated looks.
Saturday’s Evening Gown competition is a formal presentation where contestants bring their poised, prom-style best to the stage.
The same scored presentation is completed with an optional ceremonial escort or no-escort format.
Friday evening begins with the Pep Rally and School Spirit Wear. Saturday morning is reserved for contestant interviews, Saturday’s Evening Gown competition begins at 2:00 PM, and every delegate is invited to the 7:00 PM prom-style awards banquet after scores are locked and audited.
Friday · Pep Rally welcome
Friday night begins with registration and contestant materials. Every contestant then joins the America’s Homecoming Pep Rally: one unified opening program with on-stage introductions and the scored School Spirit Wear competition.
Every contestant, welcomed
Every registered contestant is introduced on stage, whether representing a traditional school community or a homeschool community.
School Spirit Wear, scored
